Wow, that is a mighty ‘first piece’, Stephanie. Your descriptions are epic, so much packed in to taut sentences … brilliant. I feel like I know their characters after just a few lines, yet still more unfurls. Wonderful words.
Thank you, Barrie! Some characters I feel I know from the start which makes it easier to let the reader see them. That was true here.
Currently working on a much longer project where the characters are being so reticent! I’m hoping it is just a matter of me needing to write more into them to find out who they are, and not that there’s no there there…
